As Founder of Aspera Capital, David brings years of experience across a range of disciplines. After graduating from Dartmouth College, David began his career in the wake of the Global Financial Crisis on the Portfolio Management and Capital Markets desks of EverBank, a regional commercial bank headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. David then earned his MBA from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management where he focused in Investment Management and Entrepreneurship while also working as a Teaching Assistant for the program's Finance courses. Following his MBA, David worked as an Advisor in Credit Suisse's US Private Banking group before moving to Goldman Sachs to further his practice managing money for High Net Worth individuals and families. Seizing on the opportunity to work with Goldman's Institutional clients and their Alternative Investment portfolios, David relocated to Salt Lake City, UT in 2018 and joined the firm's Hedge Fund Strategies team in Goldman's global Alternative Investments and Manager Selection division. Most recently, David served as Axia Capital Partners' Managing Director of Investment and Portfolio Management, leading the group's acquisition, disposition, investment strategy, and market intelligence activities. While at Axia, David sourced and underwrote hundreds of Commercial Real Estate deals across sectors including Multi-Family, Self-Storage, Outdoor Hospitality, and Industrial Development, helping grow the firm's portfolio of assets under management to over $100M in just a few short years since the Fund's launch in 2021.

Outside his professional life, David is an avid outdoors enthusiast and enjoys backcountry snowboarding, mountain biking, surfing, hiking, and rock climbing. Perpetually curious, David also consumes books on history, markets, investing, politics, and science-fiction while also seeking to improve his guitar playing and Spanish speaking.
